I wanted to make an Advent Calendar this year but I didn't want to do the entire 25 days since the kids are still a little too young to understand and no patience!  So I came up with my own 12 Day Countdown to Christmas Banner!

I researched many ideas on the Internet and found some real cute ones made out of toilet paper rolls.  I was actually saving rolls to make a scrapbook but then decided I would attempt the banner.  This is the link that gave me the inspiration for my Advent Calendar.  I did several things different but overall I still was able to recycle and they are so strong.  I know that once I pack this up after Christmas they will stay safe until next year!

I used all Close To My Heart products! (excluding the TP Rolls of course) The paper was measured to fit each roll and I didn't even glue the main red to the roll.  Each one was stapled to the roll which makes it even easier and less messy!  I trimmed a round edge on top and punched a hole on the back side for the ribbon. The TP roll plus the paper is super thick so make sure you have a very strong hole puncher.  My puncher broke so we had to use our brains to think of another way to make holes in each of them.  My brainiac Husband drilled holes with his handy dandy drill!  Smart man!  (Don't tell him I said so!)

The paper color is our Ruby collection, the decoration paper is made from our Pear and a Partridge packet.  I cut up small ribbons from the burlap then added three dimensional elements for the numbers. The numbers are a bit hard to see so I may change that next year but for now I love it!

Add yummy candy and you're set!

I hope you love this as much as I do!

Merry Christmas to all!
Love,
Tina

Well today I experienced something amazing!  Max and Ruby were invited to a birthday party at Sassafrass Junction Puppet Theater!  This place has the best Kid's show ever!  We are very blessed to have such wonderful places in West Virginia for Kid's!

Sassafrass Junction is a place that makes you smile as soon as you walk into the door!  I myself laughed louder than the kids at all the excitement!  They are very talented and love to perform for the kiddies!

It was by far the best Birthday Party that I have ever been to!  So much fun and happiness was filled in the room!

I was honored to make this cake for my Good Friend Wendy and was thrilled that it turned out perfect!  I can't wait to make it again!

If you live in the area and have never experienced Sassafrass Junction you're missing out!  Call them for Show Times and get ready for some fun!!!!!  Call or Text 304-395-5373 For show information or reservations!

I have only been an independent consultant for Close To My Heart since April and already I have learned so many new things!  They are so great with teaching you their fun ways to make your scrapbook layouts look Fabulous!  I am more of a home crafter and love to make things such as banners, coasters, and cards with our product.  But recently I have been wanting to do more layouts because they are teaching me easy ways to complete a page! It is taking me a while to complete a page but I have put so much detail and attention into my work!  It is very rewarding once you've completed your masterpiece!

I want to share with you my latest creation!  I love the Stella Collection from Close To My Heart!  I wish they would continue to sell this wonderful paper packet!  It has so many different styles and so easy to love!  I decided to try out our new ruler with the guide holes for stitching!  I love it!  It did take about an hour for my hands to master each stitch but I did finish!   Other than the thread this layout has all Close To My Heart products! The ruler only costs $9.95 and is the best ruler I've ever owned!

The flowers are crafted by CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge for the Cricut!  This is a must have for every
crafty person!

Now I have to decide which pictures to add to this lovely layout! This is the hard part for me!  I always make layouts without any type of pictures in mind and have to come up with a photo shoot just so I can complete the page!  Let me know what type of background would go good with this layout!  Give me some ideas!  I can always use them!!!

Happy Scrappin!

It's time to make some cards!  This time of year is especially fun because who doesn't love to receive holiday cards! I started with Halloween!  I love Close To My Heart's Moonlight paper packet!  It has so many different ways to use it!  I love the colors!  I already need to order more because I've used it all up!  This is one paper packet that I didn't hesitate to hoard!  (All you scrapbookers know how that feels!)

This card size is 5 1/2 by 4 1/4.  The middle frame was cut by the Art Philosophy Cartridge.  The Stamp was from a previous Idea Book.  I love the witch in this stamp set!  I added some glitter gel to the orange frame for some shimmer!

The Cards below are made using older Close To My Heart Halloween paper that I actually was hoarding and decided to give it a new home!  What do you Think?!!!  I love Halloween!!!

If you would like to host a workshop making some Holiday Cards, contact me soon!  I have one Christmas Card Workshop planned in October and would love to start one in November!  Call me today!

Thanks for stopping by!!

I am so excited that Halloween is almost here!  I am however a little behind on the costumes for the kids.  But I'm sure I'll get them soon enough!  I love Halloween!  You get to see so many creative ideas and eat yummy recipes!  Halloween is a time for the kids to use their imaginations and become someone that they dream to be!

I have started using my imagination in decorating!  I have made a banner for the occasion and some Halloween Cards too!  I think every wall in the house will have handmade decoration by the time I'm done!  I love my cricut and I love my Close To My Heart Art Philosophy Cartridge!  It is a wonderful tool in decorating just about anything!

This banner was made from the Close To My Heart Moonlight Paper Packet.  I used a total of 4 black cardstock paper and each banner measure 6' on the cricut cartridge.  It is the right size for my mantel and just big enough to see each letter!

I added the glitter gel to each letter to add some sparkle to them! I added black tulle and threaded it through each hole that is amazingly cut out for you on the cricut!  So handy to have when a hole punch isn't available!  Makes life so easy!  I hold onto almost everything because you never know when you may need to use it for something else.  When Kayla decided to sale her old Ballet Costume I had to keep it!  The tulle alone was worth hoarding!  I cut that sucker up and used the bottom portion of the tutu as the string to hold my banner!  It even had a plastic cord in it which made the banner stiff!  Love it!

Such a beautiful Ballerina!

I LOVE LEMONS!!!!

I always seem to have a craving for Lemons!  It started while pregnant with my third and FINAL child Ruby!  Ever since then I crave for it a bunch!  I found a recipe online at Cooks.com and had to share it with you!  It is so yummy and so simple to make you will be having cool whip as a staple from now on in your freezer! I tweaked it just a bit but I'm sure it's as good as the original!

Lemon Cookies
1 box Pillsbury Yellow Cake Mix
1 Pkg. Instant Lemon Jello Pudding
1 egg
2 cups Extra Creamy Cool Whip (Kroger brand)

(In my head I hear Stewie from Family Guy saying Chooo Whip! LOL.)

                                                     http://youtu.be/3mnAC5KWvJc?t=8s

Roll into 1 inch balls or bigger, than roll in sugar.  Press with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.  Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Yield: 30 cookies (Mine only took 10 minutes!)

The recipe didn't call for any icing but since I love baking I had to do an icing!  I had an extra tub of lemon supreme icing and piped it onto the top of cookie!  Wow, was it ever delightful!

My Ruby ate three cookies before I could even ice them!

So simple and easy to make!  I will be making more of these in the future!

I may try another type of flavor in the instant jello pudding!

Happy Eating!

I love my career with Close To My Heart!  I have achieved so much in such a short time.  If you're wondering what I've achieved I'll tell you!  I haven't made too much money yet but that's ok.  I didn't join for the money.  I have accomplished a goal that I have wanted to achieve forever!  My scrapbooking!  I have completed my 1 year old first year within 3 months!  This was a task that I never thought I could complete!  I am working on my 15 year old daughter's now!  That may take a while, but I'm up for the challenge!

Studio J is my savior when it comes to scrapbooking in a fast pace!  I am a mother of three and very busy!  Also with little or no money, Studio J is ideal for me!  I can work on saving the money and scrapbook throughout the month and have enough money saved up to complete 10 layouts!  Less than $70.00 a month for all 10!  I think that is pretty cool!

Contact me today to learn how fun it is to use Studio J!  I love how easy it is to complete one layout and still have time to cook dinner!  I'm a busy person and Studio J just makes "cents" to me!

I would also love to talk to you about joining my team!  CTMH are giving away this damask bag free for anyone that joins!  It is worth $49 and super cute!  The consultant kit is only $49 and with the bag retail value is $180!  Don't miss out on this because the bags are going fast and it's only a "while supplies last" event for the bag!

Just wanted to post this cake!  I love making cakes for people!  I think what I enjoy most is their excitement when they see their cake complete.  I occasionally do a cake out of my head but usually I'm searching the Internet for ideas!  I love looking at other people's cakes online!  Their are so many talented people in this world!  This world should be a better, happier place with all the cake bakers!

I haven't been able to make cakes for a while because of my hands.  I'm sure tomorrow I will hurt but so far I haven't felt the pain.  I try hard to make people happy and it feels good to have a talent that gives someone happiness!  I have only had one cake that was very hard to complete because the customer was very picky!  But I pulled through and did my best! I try to tell people "if you send me a picture you like, it will look somewhat like it but not exact!"

The bottom cake is white with my "wedding Icing" not sure what to call it because it's not technically butter cream because it doesn't have butter in it.  So I just call it my wedding icing!  I found a recipe for homemade fondant and it tasted much better than store brand.  But it was harder to handle.  This was my first try at it so hopefully it will get better when I try it again!  Here is the link to the recipe.  Allrecipes.com

This cake was an inspiration from www.pinkcakebox.com.  Her name is Anne Heap and they are in New Jersey!  Sometime I wish I lived in New York because all my favorite cake artists live in the surrounding area!!!

I would love to show you how to make these flowers!  Contact me Today!!!!

Oh and my Mom and Mother In Law loved their flowers!

I've been having so much fun with the New Stella Collection that I haven't done anything with the other packets!  I know eventually I will have to because I'm slowly running out of Stella paper!
Here is another layout that I just finished!  I can't believe how many different creations you can actually make with the Workshop on The Go!  I have only used two colonial white 12 x 12 sheets extra!  I love the colors!!!!  I've been googling the Stella Collection and have found some very cute ideas!  It is such a great motivation to see others creating beautiful artwork!

I still need to find the right picture for this layout!  I always make the layouts first and then search for that perfect picture to display!  I love this one so much I didn't want to add anything to it!

I hope that one day I will have more people to follow my work!  I just love Close To My Heart and think everyone should at least experience it once in their lives!  If you don't scrapbook that's ok, I can teach you how to make a card to mail to a special person in your life!  They will cherish the card forever!!!  I still have cards that I don't want to give away because they are so Cute!

Happy Scrappin!

Have I said how much I love Studio J!  I miss it so much because it has been a month since I've been able to start scrapbooking online!  I have been so busy working on my business, taking classes, and getting ready for my first show!  I love how easy Studio J is for anyone!  You don't have to be computer savvy to know how to work it.  Just start uploading your pictures from your computer and begin searching for your perfect collection and layout!  "Let Me Show You How!"  That is a great motto for Close To My Heart~  I love showing people how easy it is to scrapbook without getting out the scissors, paper, stamps, ink pads, and so on!  For those of you that are busy moms you can completely get a book completed in no time at all!  If interested call me or log onto my site http://www.tinasuchy.ctmh.com/.  I can't wait to hear from you!

I am so excited to start selling Close To My Heart!  Hopefully I will make some extra money too!  Right now my goal is to at least have one workshop a month and possibly have 3 Home Gatherings a month! My sweet Mother Toni is helping me.  Our Director calls us TNT!  Hopefully this will at least pay for our habit!  I love the products and the new line of paper is beautiful!  You have so many to choose from and they all have so many possiblities!

My favorite is the Stella Collecion.  I have been playing around with the paper and making some real cute cards that were shown on the Workshop on the Go Kit!  This Kit is truly amazing!  So many different ways to use this collection!  I myself love to make cards! They are so easy to do.  I didn't even really use an actual template that gave measurements.  I just began copying off the picture and wow I loved how they turned out!

I would love to show you how to make these beautiful cards!  Contact me today!!!

I am a Daughter, Sister, Wife, and a Mother!  I love all of my roles and treasure each one!  I am also a Baker!  I love to bake.  My mother was a baker and her mother a baker, and so on and so on!  I make cakes, cookies, and any type of dessert I can find!  But my passion was and always will be 3D cakes!  My passion started so long ago I can't even remember my first cake!  I started baking cakes when my Best Friend got married and my Mother and I drove all the way to Clay County to put it all together!  Since then I have always had a cake or two or three every week!

Recently my hands have taken a terrible spell of pain. My Husband and Doctor have requested me to slow down on baking cakes.  Sadly I have stopped making cakes for the loving fans that I have gained over the years!  I still try to make a cake or two but just not in one day!  If you've ever had your dream taken away from you, you know how hard it is to accept.  Well I will just share some of my creations to you and hope that you can re-create something that I have made in the past!

Always dream and love each one of them!

My thought for the day, be a little nicer!  I try to be as nice as possible these days.  I was one of those people that didn't take crap from no one and would speak my mind, horrible I know.  Once I met my wonderful Husband his sweet humble nature has now began to wear off.  I try not to say anything bad when a bad situation arises.
Today was one of those days.  My fun spirited 3 year old and I went to a WIC appointment this morning.  Mind you the morning had started off rocky.  He is beginning to be more independent when dressing himself. Drama Queen really!  But I ignored it and went on with the day.  We arrive at the appointment and Max begins to play.  Another little boy was also playing with some car boards. Everytime the litte boy would move to one Max would move with him.  At first I thought maybe Max was not wanting to share.  Typical for a 3 year old.  Well he was trying to explain to him what each device on the car were and what they did.  Jason Suchy Jr.! Well the little boy's parents yelled at Max for not sharing and when I went over to talk to Max I apologized and tried to explain what Max was trying to do.  The lady proceeded to trash talk me and threatened that "No one treats my son that way".  A long time ago the old Tina would have been right back at her with a vengeance.  But I simply apologized and made Max do something else.  Another lady witnessed it and said "she wouldn't have talk to me like that".  I simply told her that I was trying to be nicer and didn't want to be mean back.  This is coming out of my mouth???!  Wow I think I'm growing up!
So the next time you are wanting to be a nasty person and be mean towards anyone, be a little nicer.  It isn't that bad to just be kind and admit that everyone deserves a little respect. Especially a 3 year old little boy who doesn't know right from wrong all the time!

LOVE ONE ANOTHER!  How could anyone be mean to a child like this one?!

Love
Tina

Little Ruby's birthday is coming up and I want to make her day special!  I have found all kinds of things to decorate her party on Pinterest!  That is my new addiction, Pinterest! Well I found the tissue paper pom poms and thought I would try it out!  LOVE THEM!!!!  I also love Martha Stewart!  She is such an amazing woman and I will always adore her talents no matter what anyone says!  You may follow her tutorial here

I decided to use 10 sheets for mine and it was a bit difficult to cut the ends but I managed!  It may be easier with 6 to 8!  I still love the look.  I don't think you can mess this one up at all!  I am going to make some smaller ones to tape on the wall behind the table!  I will post pictures when we have her birthday!!!  I am excited!

Hope you enjoy your day!
Tina
My little Ruby is eating her weight in baby food!  I love that little girl and she loves food!  I began feeling sick thinking about all the baby food jars that I was tossing into the trash can.  So I have decided to start recycling them!  I first came up with this craft and would love to start making candles in the jars as well but that will be another day!

First I cleaned all the jars and lids in the dishwasher.  AFter that I removed any extra glue with Goo Gone.  If your covering the jar with fabric you may not need to continue with that step but I'm OCD so it all get's washed!

Second, take a scouring pad to each lid then rinse. This is a tip from my loving husband!  Scouring the lid will help the paint to adhere to it better and longer!  Make sure the lids are dry before spray painting them.  I sometimes feel like I am giving too many steps but would hate for anyone to mess up.  This one is so simple no one could go wrong!  I bought a can of flat black spray paint for the lids and sprayed them on a big piece of cardboard.  Let them dry for about 24 hours or over night depending on how much spray paint you use.
To decorate the jars I purchased a jelly roll of Amy Butler fabric which I adore and started making rosettes and fabric flowers from my previous post to attach to them.  I didn't measure a thing just cut strips to fit around the jar.  I used my wonderful hot glue gun and wrap the fabric around the jar and glue other end to the jar.  Once completed attach the flower with some glue to the jar to cover the seam.  I also cut a piece of fabric in a  circle and glued it to the lid.

I love using my jars for bobby pins and other hair accessories! I made them for the girls in the family for Christmas!  They loved them!!!!   Hope you enjoy!
